Dir. Paarock VanPercy is an accountant by training and an investment banker by occupation.

 

He is presently the Managing Director of Afri-Invest Management Company Ltd., and Principal Associate of AfriCapital Associates. He was previously the Ghana Country Director of the Commonwealth Development Corporation, General Manager of Venture Fund Management Company, Head of Corporate Finance at Merchant Bank (Gh) Ltd. and Audit Manager for Unilever Ghana Ltd. He served as a Director of CalBank PLC (Ghana) for twenty years and as its Chairman for 10 of those years. He also served as the Director-General of the national telecommunications regulatory body, National Communications Authority.

Dir VanPercy has considerable corporate experience spanning some 35 years from a career in accountancy, investment banking, corporate management and administration, and in the recent past, a stint in telecom regulation, policy formulation, ICT industry growth and development.

Apart from working for corporate investors, Dir VanPercy has engaged directly in entrepreneurship in West and East Africa. This has involved personal investment, hands on management, planning of business start-ups, business turnarounds and regenerations.

Dir VanPercy holds a degree in Philosophy and trained as a Chartered Accountant in the City of London. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales, and a Business and Finance Professional of the Institute.
