Dir. James S. P. Cooper is a graduate of the University of Liberia and Columbia University, USA. He is presently the Vice Chairman of Magus Investment Corporation. He has also served as a Director of Liberia Hotels Inc., Monrovia Transit Authority, Liberia Broadcasting System, National Housing Authority, and Liberian Finance and Trust Company.

He was also Chairman of Small Enterprise Financing Organization. James S. P. Cooper was employed in 1973 as a Project Analyst in LBDI and rose up the ranks to Comptroller in 1981, General Manager in 1987, and President in 1992. He left LBDI in 1995 having worked with the Bank for 20 years.
